Anyone have any experiences with acne after starting to lift?

Before I used to be pretty much sedentary, up until 3 months ago when I started going to the gym, changing my diet, and lifting weights. Basically my new diet is high calories, high protein, high carbs, low sugar.

Everything was going well, but all of a sudden, my acne progressively started getting worse. I started noticing it after about a week or two or using whey protein powder, and it spread from just my forehead to around my mouth as well.

After noticing this, I switched to a plant-based powder, but it's starting to look like it's here to stay. My skin is naturally oily, and I usually don't shower when I get home from the gym (I go at night). I'm guessing a lot of this has to do with increased testosterone from lifting, but I'm not positive. Any help would be much appreciated.
